Resin Water Filter

A resin filter has a filter cartridge that is made up of resin's and will remove contaminants such as heavy metals which includes lead, as well as minerals that can cause deposits in coffee makers and kettles. Some people will combine a resin filter with an activated carbon filter which will be a very effective filtering system to remove both particles and dissolve substances.  Typically, this type of filter is used in conjunction with other types of filters for whole-house systems.  This type of filter is also primarly used with water softener systems and also with de-ionization systems.
