Your Home on-tap faucet mount water filter
Water filters for home use: do I really need one? Well, if you're not enjoying the drinking
water coming out of your kitchen faucet, it's time for an on-tap water filter!
There's a pretty wide variety of on-tap water filters available. There are several different brands but
they all have one thing in common: they attach to your faucet!
Search around the web and you'll see that there's all sorts of comparisons and tests available online, and
a lot of them contradict each other! So how are we to decide which brand and model to purchase?
I focus primarily on what I believe is the most cost-effective method today: the faucet-mounted water
filter. I've used a faucet-mount water filter for a couple years now and find it relatively inexpensive, and
the odor from my city water is gone! I think the water tastes better, as well.
I've included information about how three popular types of filters work: Activated Carbon (the most common on faucet filters), Particle and Resin water filters. Often, a combination
of two or more of these filtration systems will be used for the more complex whole-house
systems.
